sad little camper

I am sorry we had wasted the time of you fine people..
I only wished to sell this camper to someone that was looking for that type of camper...It is a fixer upper..It has been sitting for nearly a year in my driveway and we also had pressure washed it prior to the post..We will have to take down the post and sell it else where...once again sorry for wasting anyone's time..We really did not want to see it gone..I guess I will put in some effort into restoration.. I will sell it for much less if someone wants a project.. good luck

Check the above posting, Keith. I believe, if I understand the posting, that you have a buyer.
I am sorry you were not treated well here. Uhauls always have leaky windows. The seat cushions may have gotten wet, but the covers can be washed. There is no wood in a CT that causes musty smells. The walls can be scrubbed and cleaned up. As you said, it was a fixer-upper. Please reply to the person who left their email. You may have someone who will fix it up.

You also might want to join Facebook Uhaul camper site: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UHaulCamper/ Someone is looking for a Uhaul fixer-upper there.

Best of luck!

CindyL

(former owner of Uhaul and lover of Uhauls but wanted more space, so we got a Silver Cloud)

I second CindyL's comments. There is really nothing that can't be cleaned up in the CT. The cushions can be unzipped, washed, and sun-dried. Old carpet can be removed and replaced with a nice piece of vinyl or wood-look flooring. The walls are fiberglass, so just spray and wipe them down. Lots of air will help, too. If the AC is leaking, it can be removed and a nice powered vent installed. (Those CTs are really not made for a big AC like that on the roof, anyway.)

Don't be discouraged. Sounds like someone is interested in the posting above and knows the value of a great little trailer like this.

Thank you for your positive posts. I am certain the smell would be gone if scrubbed and carpet removed. I just do not have the time to do it. Hence the reason we are selling the camper.

Priced low like a fixer upper, and its a fixer upper.

Fixer uppers are not for everyone, and take quite a bit of imagination to look beyond flaws.

Roof air without significant structural support does not sound like a good idea. But the recommendation to replace it with a vent sounds like a good idea.

A skilled, motivated buyer with the time/space/tools could surely revive this camper.

Heck, if it were closer, I might try it myself, as those U-Haul trailers are pretty nice.
