Your captain sure is a beautiful camper.
Will we still see you at Bolerama in July?
What did you get for a larger camper?

We now have a 17 foot casita with bathroom (the main reason we went to bigger trailer) and twin bed layout so we don't have to crawl over each other. You will certainly see us at Bolerama 2019, this time in a trailer.

I do miss the vast storage areas in the Captain - all those tanks, pumps, pipes, furnaces etc in the Casita take up space.

The Captain is in good hands up on Georgian Bay so it is still in Ontario. The new owners have been advised about Bolerama as well as the cult of fiberglass trailers in general.

Guess I need to change my profile.

Fred and Donna Taylir are coordinators. There is a Facebook page called Ontario Bolerama. Also watch the forum for rallies and meets on fiberglassrv.com.

It is usually first or second weekend in July at Long Beach Conservation Area on the shore of Lake Erie near Welland.

Congrats on the Casita purchase. Yes, the storage is a bit of a problem in them but that just means you don't fill it up with junk that you never use When we sold our Ventura and moved up to the Casita 17SD, we were amazed at the pile of "stuff" that we pulled out of the Ventura. We went though it and only loaded what we needed. We added some shelves in the the closet and we took out the microwave to free up that space.

BTW we completed our second long trip with a 6 week trip from Edmonton to the maritimes and had a great time. We where chased into a gas station by a Scamp owner and he just had to do a tour.

Ours is the Spirit Deluxe so we leave the rear bed set up as a bed full time and use the side table . This saves us the problem of storing bedding during the day. We also tow with a F150 with a cap and I have made up a slide out tray to allow for easy access to the "overflow" of stuff like chairs awning and such.

Yeah, who needs place settings for 6? We are keeping the microwave as I know we will use it. We've sort of practiced by sleeping in the trailer in the driveway. Twin beds are awesome when one of us is up multiple times in the night.

I'll miss the dinette though - will have to eat sitting at the end of the bed on a put-away table. Unless you go really big, like 24 feet, that is the tradeoff. We usually eat outside anyway.
If it is pouring rain we have been known to go to a restaurant. Gasp!

I like the TV in the corner too😁 we had one in the captain but it didnt have the DVD player in it so more wires.
