Hi Bill, I just purchased a 1992 Bigfoot w/o owners manual - your's looks almost the same as mine but I didn't think I had a deluxe model - what makes it so? Also thought mine was actually only 16 7" - sigh wish I had more info on own. Appreciate if you can help me. Do you have the original manual for yours?

I have never ever seen on 17 1/2' Bigfoot any smaller than that I believer that model is all the same size and came from Day 1 17&1/2' Never ever seen one in BC with a AC unit on the roof most of them shove it in from down below where there is a opening in the table booth bench seat area and pipe it through. From the looks of it is also the same inside as my 86 was.

Kerri,
The standard model, which I own, does not have a shower, oven or hot water heater. The deluxe model has all 3. The standard also has a 3 burner cook top and not 4 burners. There was also a Spiritwing model that had carpet, electric tongue jack, weather station, etc. that were options on other models. AC and awnings were options on all models. I've never seen a Spiritwing model. In 2005 Bigfoot stopped making the 1500 series trailers and started making the 2500 series which had more insulation and thus thicker walls. The "17 foot" models in the 2500 series were labeled "17.5" so their model name would read 25B17.5G or 25B17.5CB (for center bath). Any trailer made before 2005 would have a model name starting with "15".

There are copies of sales brochure and owner's manual for download in the Document Center of this web site. Not sure what original year these were printed but they are better than having nothing.

around 1989....

sometime around 1989 there was a change in production and all BF17 left the factory built and equipped the same way (with that 2 piece all FG wet bath and no options) and offered in two models the G and the CB....so sorry you didn't "score"....you just bought a trailer built after that production change

a easy "identifier" is the front rock guard....if the supports for it are outside the guard it's a "pre-change" model....if the supports are inside the rockguard (thicker) it's an "after change" model.....all built the same way from about 1989 to about 2004...

the two molds that make up the trailer body were unchanged from 1980 to 2004

in 2005 the "17.5" model...(2500 series) was introduced (different molds, double pane windows, thicker insulation, weighs about 800lbs more)

Wow you are knowledgeable. I can't seem to find much on the Bigfoot. I also own a 1980 Boler. Just seems like there is more Boler people on the web sharing and caring about their little Fiberglass eggs. I love my BF but certainly isn't the same culture.
