Hi Scott
Nice looking BigFoot.
As it is a major consideration with many buyers on this site, do you have an actual, "as equipped" scale weight?

Thanks and Good Luck Selling

Located in NH near Wolfeboro. Asking $16,900 but as in all deals certainly negotiable. Headed out to Utah for some spring backcountry skiing so able to line up some interested western parties.

Check "real weight in the trailer world" on this site and you will see there is a 2001 21 ft. Bigfoot on it with only 2 batteries that weighs in about 6,300 pounds without a full water tank but 2 full propane tanks. That would be ours and we were surprised.

The 2016 version of this trailer has a GVWR of 7,500. Would there be a reason that the 2000 version is less?

Trailer manufacturers, for reasons of marketing, list the weights of their trailers far below the real world weights. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, the lower weight represent a trailer's weight BEFORE options are added. Of course, in the real world? People add lots and lots and lots of options, all of which add to the weight. Since they cannot say which options might be added, they publish an artificially low weight.

Also, no one goes travelling or camping with an empty trailer. They fill the propane tanks, they load the frig, the cabinets with clothes and gear gets stuffed everywhere possible. They mount TV's and add various other equipment. They load the galleys with cookware and small appliances. Some people even fill the water tanks with at least some water from home before they set out.

The only way to know what any trailer really weights is to take it over a certified scale. These are readily available at truck stops, travel centers, and any business that weighs trucks in and out to determine their load.

It is pretty common for trailers to weigh 800-1200 pounds over those factory weights used for salesmanship. Just the way it is.

Might want to check the dates of any for sale ads as these tend to sell pretty quickly. Also read the entire postings to see if they have been noted as sold. Good luck in your searching.
