Spring is just around corner. Looking for a nice used, but never abused Scamp
19? I have one. I pull it with a 2000 Chevy 1/2 ton short bed. Loaded, I average 15 mpg. With a high of 17.5 unloaded. Admittedly, going through the mountains loaded with a head wind, I have gotten as low as 9 to 10 mpg.
Modifications I have made. Added 15 inch D range tires
and spare, TV and antenna, 30 pound LP tanks, 2 electrical
outlets in bunk area, levels added for a visual aide when setting up camp.
My bride and I have spent the last two winters in Arizona. Never once has this ole Scamper given me problems. Wait, yes it has. I just replaced a electrical
board in the furnace
. Other then this, this Scamper is tried and true!!
The reason my bride and I have decided to pass this Scamper on is very simple. As much as we love the the Scamp
, we've decided to go RV'ing full time. Folks, Scamp's as nice as they are, just don't have room enough for full time, even though we have the last two winters doing so in this Scamp
I don't have any pictures on the hard drive at this moment, I will have in short order for your viewing pleasure.
Any questions, please contact me, and I will do my utmost best in addressing any of your questions and/or issues.
