We have decided to sell our 2017 16’ Casita Freedom Deluxe. Our grandchildren want to come, so we are looking for something larger. We have made many upgrades. Little House Customs did over $1,900 improvements including a Carefree Awning, OMW generator platform, OMW loPro, Anderson battery cut off, 4 scissor jacks, coiled brake cable, reflector belly band, and several smaller items. We added doors to the OMW generator platform. It also has custom decals (front and back). Inside, we added a microwave, floor runner and accent pillows. We had plywood cut to reinforce the bed, then added a gel mattress topper. We had a custom framed picture of our Casita made for the wall. Asking price is $19,900. We are located in central Florida (Winter Haven).

The Casita has a 6 gal water heater which works off gas or electric. It has a wet bath with toilet, sink, storage area and shower.

We tow with a Ford Escape 2.0 with Ecoboost,with the factory installed towing package. Our vehicle limits are 3,500 pounds and 350 pounds on the tongue. Considering gross combined vehicle rating (GCVR), and two adults with full gas, you cannot tow a full 3,500 pounds in the trailer. Being a retired airline pilot, I am very conscience of weights and limits. I do not want to exceed any limits that would void our car warranty, or give an insurance company a reason not to pay in an accident. That being said, we have found this combination makes it possible for 2 people to travel comfortably within weight limitations. I have weighed the trailer at a Pilot truck stop, and have also weighed the tongue. The numbers came in with a fully loaded trailer, full water, car full of gas, and 2 people-within the limits of our vehicle. The trailer weighed 2,740 pounds, loaded to travel. Some people carry a lot more items than they really need. According to the Casita brochure, the dry weight is 2,185 pounds and the dry hitch weight is 255. Our tongue weight with no water is 339 pounds (water tank is behind the wheels), and 310 full of water.we fins it tows nicer without water because the heavier tongue is ideal. Hope this is helpful.

I have tried to reply to your most recent question twice. I receive a message that says a new member can’t reply to a private message until they are a trusted member.
We did an internet search. There are companies who ship trailers. There may be private indiduals who do it as well. We have a clear title, but would need to have the trailer paid for before it was shipped.
We do not have a furnace in the Casita. This topic has been heavily discussed on the Casita forums. They are known to be loud, and take up valuable storage space. We have camped in cooler weather, and use a ceramic heater, which is included. It does a great job. Casitas do not have heated tanks, and need to be winterizedif you live in the north, anyways.
