Broken Burro near Bozeman

$1500 cash.

Bought the trailer five months ago. I wanted a Burro, searched for months and found one. In great shape though not perfect... much less perfect as of today.

Took it on a three week trip from Idaho to Indiana and 99% back… when the frame broke moments ago. I’m in Belgrade MT 59714 on Hwy90. Maybe ten miles west of Bozeman.

I may store it, trailer it home or sell it (best... since I'm frustrated). Posting this as I try and figure out my options - I'll probably be here a couple of days.

Its titled (in Idaho) yet I would have to send it to you as its at home.

$1500 cash and its yours. I can text photos (can't email photos as I'm using McDonalds wifi not consistently) but best to meet a MT local interested in a Burro. No holds, first come first served.

(208)720-4840 anytime day/night. Phone me… no emails since online sporadically. (208)720-4840.

And I won't be checking this post often since I won't be online much.

Fiberglass damage? Welding bill?

Any word on whether the fiberglass was damaged in the ordeal?

Anybody have any idea how much it would cost to re-weld the frame?

I'm only 4 hours away but I have to work today and my husband might just kill me if I commit to a project that won't be fixable and/or stable when it's fixed.

Therefore I am not calling or texting the gentleman directly but posting this here in the hopes someone will talk me out of it with their voice of reason.

Have you showed it to ( or pics) to a local welder?
Likely they can get you back up and running. When I bought the Burro I have now, I brought it home on a car trailer - as the wheel bearing needed greasing. I remember having a tent trailer that needed welding during our trip, was able to get a welding shop to fix. Good luck

Tow / weld?

This place looks like they can tow and maybe weld too, and it wouldn't be far...

Actually they boast roadside welding! 800-224-7689

Ask too many questions, wait too long, it may be gone.
