Looking at Scamp-what should I beware of?

Driving quite a distance to look at an 09 Scamp with bath, 13' with front bath. Are there any inherent problems I should look for?

Thanks,
Clamdigger

Make sure all high ticket items work. Furnace, AC, frig, etc.
Check for old leaks under both rear compartments of the dinette. Look for signs of leaks under galley and from under the trailer.

Read the DOT born on date on the tires. Likely original which means they're past the replacement period. Check age of battery. $90 to replace. Bargaining chips??? Maybe.

Operation of all systems, including awning if equipped. Looks for signs of "cover up" of any leaks by use of excess silicone. Inspect frame for any cracks or rust.

Good luck in your examination!!!

For a better response, you could say what Scamp you are considering. (13,16, or19) also Standard or Deluxe.

Of course as with any Travel Trailer, you will want to see that each system is in working order.
As with any torsion axle equipped trailer you will want to check for excessive negative camber or inside tire wear.
Check all DOT lighting for safety before heading home.
You might check that the toilet bowl seal will hold water.
Check underneath for damage to plumbing.
(be sure the converter is plugged in!)

it is under the LH (streetside ) bench on the 13, under the rear side dinette seat on models with a side dinette.
