Offering
for sale this pristine, 1973
Trillium 13 foot trailer. Unlike most from this era, it has not been painted, poked, prodded or modified significantly. It has an icebox, and is ready for a
fridge, stove and
furnace to be added if wanted.
I bought it 8 years ago and have done significant upgrades while leaving the integrity of the original completely intact.
What I know:
I bought it from someone who used it primarily as a club house for his kids. It did not travel much so the body is in very good condition. I did a lot of cosmetics, but all the original parts were there including the (I believe) factory installed
light colored cabinetry, front rock guard and all original hardware and 2 keys.
What I did:
I purchased new cushions made for us by Outback
Trillium in Calgary. Great foam, heavy duty upholstery fabric, and they're in perfect condition.
Curtains were also purchased from Outback
Trillium and made specifically for this trailer.
I replaced the
battery with a a marine
battery and an intelligent slow charge system. Replaced all
lighting with LED bulbs. Replaced
tires and wheels. Greased bearings annually. Had the frame reinforced at the curves, as is recommended by most owners. Moved spare to front. Had receiver for bike carrier added to back bumper (but never used because of concerns about tongue weight).
Replaced 8” roof vent with 14” vent with fan.
What I didn't do:
I didn't add the usual appliances to the trailer because we didn't need them. We do all our cooking outside, keep a cooler in our vehicle and have a small
furnace we use very occasionally. This means there are no vents cut into the side, no
propane hassles and nothing to go wrong. We've tried to keep everything as clean and simple as possible.
Why I'm selling:
We have found a new trailer that we could not pass up. One has to go, but we are doing so reluctantly.
Asking price: $8,500. Please phone, text or email to make appointment to see.
