Jean you indicate you are in Quebec in your profile. I am assuming then that the trailer is a Canadian registered trailer? If it is please note that you CAN NOT legally sell a Canadian registered trailer while you just happen to be in the USA. It has be legally imported into the USA first. Otherwise the purchaser will never get it registered in the USA.

I am in florida the whole winter and i have both citizenship, so it is no a problem to change the tag to a US tag.

I don't think that matters. What matters is where the trailer is registered. As in, the trailer, if registered in Canada, has to be returned to Canada and then imported into the U.S.

I second the comments concerning importing. Your citizenship and/or how long the trailer has been in the U.S. has no bearing on the issue. It must be legally imported at the border before it can be legally registered in any U.S. state.

There was a Canadian trying to sell a B.C. registered trailer here in SoCal last summer and, after being informed of the situation, local law enforcement officers were more than happy to let the seller know that it was a no-no.

Think you may want to check into that a little closer. Even if you have both citizenships and a place in the US its my understanding that a Canadian registered trailer must be properly imported into the USA before it can be change over to US plates & registration.

BTW: It works in both directions. You can't take a U.S. titled & registered RV into Canada to sell without "importing" it at the border as well.

Juanito, I love what you have done with your trailer! It's beautiful! Hope you get what you're wanting for it... It certainly seems worth it. BTW, I used to live in the same town in Quebec when I was a kid!
