I am looking at a 1980
Bigfoot 17' trailer (julie d's listing in the
for sale forum). The current owner is not too familiar with the details of the trailer, so I thought I would ask some of the experts here.
My big question is whether it is winterized/insulated like some of the later bigfoots. This is to me one of the major features of the
bigfoot line, and I would probably not buy one unless it has the insulation. Does anyone know if the 1980 models came with the winter package or something like it? Is there any way to confirm that a particular trailer does have insulation? In particular, I like the insulation and the ducted heat around the water/waste tanks. The owner says she has seen the water tank, located under one of the benches, and she is not sure whether it is insulated/heated. Any tips for me as I try to sort this out?
If it helps, this model has a toilet but no shower, a stove but no oven, a front dinette, and a rear goucho/L sofa that converts to a bed, with a bunk overhead.
Thanks,
Tom
