1987 Casita 16' Tire Size?

Hey everyone,

Sorry to crank out another silly question, but I am flying by the seat of my pants here and want to get it right the first time.

When I bought my Casita, I didn't realize that the egg had two different size tires! One is a 19575R14 and the other is a 1957014.

Seeing that I want to repack the bearings, I decided to get new rubber while I am at it.

Anyone with that age range have the coreect size I should get?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dave
Is there no sheet on inside closet door or else where, where it tells you tire size?

Tires

Your trailer had 13 inch tires when it was new. It is good that someone changed them to 14 inch. The size isn't as important as it is for them to have plenty of room in the wheel well. I would buy a matched pair about the same size but make sure they are ST trailer tires. From what I hear most people are using a Goodyear tire.

Hey Chester,

I just ran out there to see and no luck. I am doing this tomorrow and I can call Casita in the morning to see if they can help OR depend on the tire guys.

Seeing that I am just taking the tires and not the trailer, I'd like to have a definitive answer when I drop them off.

Going on our first shakedown trip on Saturday for one night.

Ron- thanks for the info. I am taking it to the local tire shop, so I am not sure of their specific brand. I will inquire on Goodyear, but they will probably be an off brand. Either way, I will get another set of 14's (this time the same size!).

Hey everyone,

I wound up getting Nanking ST2057514's on my Casita and while I was at it, I repacked the bearings and adjusted the brakes. We went on a one night trip at San Simeon State Park and it rode very nicely.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
