New cabinet doors made

I had a local cabinet maker make brand new doors for all the cabinets in the camper. $150 for all of them, thought that was a good deal, Can't wait to put them on!

Cabinet Doors are painted!

I went with a color that was a close match with the original interior. Kinda of like a country white / cream color

Vapor Barrier and carpet install

Supplies
  1. -AMERIQUE Laminate Flooring Underlayment Padding with Tape & Vapor Barrier 3-in-1 Heavy Foam 3 mm Thick, 200SQFT per Roll $37
  2. - Marine waterproof carpet 200 sqft from Lowes - $150
  3. -uxcell Car Sound Deadener Application Rolling Wheel Roller 5cm x 3.5cm $9
  4. -3m 90 industrial spray adhesive $13/can 8 cans

I went with the underlayment padding because it is closed foam, provides the camper with a strong moisture/vapor barrier, mold and moisture protection, non allergenic, sound absorption, the bright blue look gives me some additional opacity to prevent light from penetrating, it has anti-crush technology for excellent performance and long life. It is perfect for fiberglass adhesion, 3mm closed foam technology for sound reduction, and a tiny bit of insulation. I don't see winter camping very often so it wasn't a concern for me.

TIP: I found that you must apply a coat of adhesive on both the wall and the foam and then the foam and the carpet for the adhesion to be strong enough.

Taking the 30yr old window moulding out

So I went to the scamp website and ordered two set of mouldings with the lockstrip $40 each and then onto Amazon for the lockstrip tool (gotta have) then I used armorAll to lube the lock strip so that it would feed quickly. Watch the corners. Had a tough time getting the glass to settle into those, it kept popping out. Used a screw driver and the locking tool to set the main moulding and armorAll to lube the glass as well.

Closet finished, Cabinet Doors Hung!

Almost done! I have the last of the carpet to do, finishing up the interior of the cabinets with the same carpet as the walls. All I will have left is the flooring which we are doing a soft feel linoleum with a wood texture.

The interior looks so good! I'm running into a couple road blocks and have a couple questions.
1. Did you remove the fiberglass seat bases or cabinatry frame in kitchenette to get the carpet behind it on the walls? My current carpeting goes behind these things but they are riveted in from the outside and that's opening a whole can of worms.
2. How did you remove the table? I can't seem to remove mine from the metal base on the floor.

Thank you!

Impressive. I'd love to see it. Where in VA are you?
It'd be nice to have you join our fiberglass mini rally at Hungry Mother SP in early November. You'd be our first vintage trailer.

I call this a mini rally because it is small and has no agenda.
This will be the 6th year and we typically have 12-14 fiberglass trailers of various brands and vintages.
It will run from Friday through Sunday with some arriving late Thursday. Dates are Nov. 1-4
I say no agenda, but Friday night I make Cowboy Stew and SUMI salad and others are welcome to supplement or not. I always worry there'll be enough to go around, but so far so good.
We camp in the Burson Campground at Hungry Mother, which is one of the few State Park campgrounds open year round. Sites have electric and water hookups and some also have sewer. There is a dump station and a nice, modern bathhouse with showers.
It's a nice area with lots to do, including hiking, paddling, some nice local museums and more. Some nice restaurants in nearby Marion Too.
I hope you can make it. Some nice restaurants in nearby Marion too.
And some have talked about doing the easy bike ride down the mountain at Damascus.

Not really, but we do seem to cluster in sites furthest from the park entrance and closer to the bath house.
Burson is pretty compact and all 51 sites are in view of each other.
I hope that helps.
