1996 13' Scamp - cabinet separating from frame!

The facing on the sink cabinet as well as the Dometic fridge seem to be intruding into the interior of the trailer - there is about a 1" gap between the facing and the interior of the cabinetry. Any ideas how to remediate this - I am afraid it will get worse.

Thanks!

Amy

Could you post a picture? I'm not at all clear about the condition you're describing.

The first picture is looking straight down the open cabinet door under the sink - you can see about a half-inch of daylight at the bottom.

The second picture, also looking straight downward, shows how the fridge has moved about a half-inch into the interior of the trailer - same cabinet that houses the sink.

Thanks for any ideas for remedies!

Amy

Just tossing this out Amy, any chance the screws that hold the refer and cabinet to the floor are rusted out allowing it to move?

I was thinking the same. I don't have a fridge, but I'm wondering if you check the exterior service panel for the fridge, you might see that it has moved away from the shell there, too.

If that's what's happening, it's not a big deal, but it does need to be fixed ASAP.

Loose cabinet facing

The fiberglass front cabinet facing on my 16' has several long phillips head screws that screw into the floor of the cabinet, not the floor of the trailer. Over time they have pulled out of the mdf floor of the cabinets. I drilled new pilot holes and used new 2 1/2" roundhead phillips wood screws and plugged up the old holes. You could just glue the old screws into the old holes holes(!!)
