Don't buy a RV battery, purchase a Car / Truck battery, wear it out and get the free replacement.

A "zero guarantee" could mean lots of things. Do you have more information?

I bought a rv battery from Wall Mart and 8 days later battery went dead. Checked for shorts in my trailor found none. Took it back and was told it needed charged and to come back in two hours. I then asked about the warranty and was told there is none. No manufacture warranty, no Wall Mart warranty. When I bought the battery I asked if it was fully charged and they said it was. I then asked them to sell me a battery that had a warranty and was told none of their batteries have warranty's And that they couldn't give me back my money.

Well.....I'd have thrown a fit! I'm a women and I can do that!

Unless it was on the paperwork. Even then I probably would have made them change their mind.

I just bought one from Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago with an 18 month free replacement warranty. Their lower priced batteries now have a one year free replacement warranty.
This is down from the past when they gave a second and third year on a prorated basis.
I will say, though, that I could find no employee who knew anything about the batteries or their warranties.

Wall Mart batteries

Hi Floyd, I can ownly tell you what happened to me at the Wall Mart in Victorville,California. The sales clerk said they had alot of batterries come back and they were losing money. I did get my money back and found same size battery In the interstate brand with a warranty for 19 dollars less, so I'am a Happy Camper now.

I got a deep cycle battery from Costco last year that's been working fine. I've been using Walmart Maxx auto batteries in 2 of my vehicles and they've been really good.

20 Oct 2010: I was in Walmart today and they are still advertising 1,2 and 3 year warranties on the 3 series of batteries I saw. As I have said B 4, I use a 3 year Tug battery in the camper and if it gives out B 4 the 3yr warranty, I will go and get a new one. Deep Cycle - I don't need 12DC that much as I normally do not dry camp and I have a Generator. You can get a small Gen at Harbor Freight for around $70 when it is on sale and then use it to charge your battery during the day. In the long run, that may save you money overall - A 3yr battery and a cheep gen.

27 Oct, 2010. I just returned from Walmart and their EverStart car batteries still have the 1, 2, and 3 year warranties and the RV and marine batteries still have the 12 and 18 month "free replacement" warranties.

I took a nearly 3 yr old battery in yesterday and walked out with a new one.
So your mileage may vary!

Hi Ray,I believe you guy's,I've never gotten any bad advice from this forum. That's why I went to Wall Mart to buy my battery.I ran into a friend of mine who has a toy hauler. He just pick up two group 24 batteries from Wall Mart in Apple Valley ( next town over) fully charged installed in trailor no problems.Had one year warranty on side of battery. I think I'll write a letter to Wall Mart's main office and see what they have to say about their Victorville store's policies.

William: Did you take the battery back to the battery department or to the Customer Service desk up front?

I think that may have been the problem unless the Customer Service people sent you there. At the Customer Service desk, I have never had a problem.

We bought a WalMart car battery this summer and was told it had an 18 month warranty-no more 3 year or 5 year warranties.
Think next time we will look elsewhere for a battery.
