Your comments regarding tires reminded me of something I had noticed last winter. We were driving through a group of condos in southwest Fla. and many of the residents(not currently there) had their cars covered. But many of them had a square of plywood, painted white, under each of their tires. It was blacktop, which I'm sure gets very hot. A real discussion broke out the next day at "men's Friday lunch" regarding the merits or lack thereof, of the plywood squares. Since two of the six were engineers....well, you can imagine.
