Barbeque swing arm
Hi,
We were at the local RV show last week. Wandering among the bulgemobiles was awesome and dull at the same time. We were looking for camping ideas, but most of them were not practical for a small trailer. However, we saw one thing that has me seriously interested.
On Forest River brand trailers, some of them come with a swinging arm that bolts on to the rear bumper. The swinging arm holds a propane barbeque that has a quick release gas hose attachment so it can be hooked up to the trailer propane or a local bottle. When camping, the swing arm swings out so the barbeque is away from the trailer body, but held so that it does not take up room on the picnic table. The barbeque is not removed from the swing arm while travelling; instead it swings back over the bumper and is held in place (hopefully) securely while travelling. The arm looked to about 4 feet in total length, more or less, with two or three articulating sections. The barbeque comes included with it due to placement of particular structures that allow it to be attached to the swinging arm.
I searched on the internet, but could not find a retail supplier for these, Instead, it appears to be an add-on that only comes with that brand of trailer. Before I go to an RV dealer and ask about getting it as a spare part (undoubtedly expensive), I wonder whether anyone knows where to buy that sort of thing?
Thanks,
Rick G.
