Boler 1700 RGH vs. SGH

My husband and I are looking to purchase a boler 1700 he is 6'4" and we would like to buy the one that he fits best in. We are willing to do some modifications, but we were wondering if anyone had any experience with modifying the beds so that they were bigger.

Would the RGH or SGH be easier to do it with? And which one would give you a bigger bed? Would there be any other pro's or cons to buying either one of those?
