Boler B1700 tank capacities?

I have been searching the owners manual and this site for an answer as to how big the water, grey water and black water tanks are? I have the 1978 Neonex model.

Mine is also a 1978 Neonex (Calgary) unit. However, I have NO clue whatever about how big the tanx are - and mine have all been replaced with "whatever the dealer had on hand at the time" so they may or may not have any resemblance to originals.

I have a B1700. I replaced my fresh water tank last year with
http://www.dmplastics.ca/products/drawings/RFW1513.pdf
It was pretty much a match, 86 litres according to the drawing.

I can't find my manual, but when I do I'll post the capacities of the grey and black tanks.

Hmmm, could have sworn tank capacities were in the manual. They aren't. Just eyeballin the grey water tank, it looks to be of the same size as the fresh. From how quickly the black seems to fill I would guess it is 40 litres at most.

Does anyone know if dmplastics makes a grey and black water tank for my 79 17ft boler?

Thanks

Glenn

Thanks for the info Tim, I originally asked because I could not find it printed anywheres either. Do you have children? I have yet to overfill fill my black or my grey tank but run out of fresh water in 3-5 days. My guess is that if you fill the freshwater tank and the hotwater tank you would have just over 100 litres of water.

The following is the contents of a PM from Brian who answered the original question. Since others have the same questions I am releasing this to the public.

Hi Rene,

I think that I found the fresh and grey waste tanks to be the same size - about 100 L. The black tank is much smaller.

Brian
Thanks Brian, How did you find out? I have been wondering about the weight. 100L is 100Kg or about 225# plus if you fill the hotwater tank you will get another 20L.

Rene

Hi Rene,

I basically just multiplied the length by the width by the height. From memory, the tanks (which are openly accessible from below) are about 20 cm x 60 cm x 100 cm, or 2x6x10=120 L, less some due to the sloped bottom and shaped sides.

Someone did find a supplier of these tanks: DM Plastics
Canadian source for water tank for 17 ft. Boler
It looks like my estimate was about 12% high.

Brian

Timmckee & rocker,

I have an '80 Boler 17 ft. it has a freshwater tank, but no grey water tank. Can you tell me where your grey water tank is located and how big it is?

Thanks!
Clayton

I have a 79 17ft boler and the grey water tank is in the middle of the trailer on the underbelly running parallel to the fresh water tank. The black is on the inside of the trailer toward the front drivers side.
