boler door strike plate

I am hoping someone can help me out by posting a picture of a boler door strike plate. I have the original Bargman lockset but I believe that my strike plate is a later modification. It is currently a piece of aluminum angle bar and a block of wood.
Any feedback is really appreciated!

Hi Jay,

I ran into something similar myself. I got a strike plate off the Scamp website for $6.

Thanks Keaner, I think you have the right idea. I just ordered a strike plate and door sill from Scamp. Thanks

If you google Bargman 400 and then go to the ones that come up on ebay (brace yourself for the prices) I think some of the pictures have the strike plate showing. They might just be the plate that attaches to the door but it might help you to confirm you are getting the right one from Scamp.

well, the scamp strike plate arrived today and it's not going to work. It is way too big. Guess i am going to have to try and fabricate one. Still would like to see a picture of one or two so I dont go into this blindly.
on the bright side, I ordered a door sill too and it looks like it will work out great.
any pics would be greatly appreciated.

thanks Tim,
I did try google and I have a good idea of what shape the plate is but I wish I could see one on a door frame. Get a better sense of it.

Strike plate

This is what mine looks like, basically just a shaped piece of chromed metal riveted in.

Leonie,
Thank you so much for the photos. That helps a lot. I have the two holes from the rivets I will let you know how I make out. Again, thanks for taking the pocs.

I believe it to be original and the latch is a Bargeman L400

OMG I didn't realize they were worth so much, hubby says to go out and lubricate it again so it never seizes up. LOL

I have just been communicating with a fellow who has repair kits for Bargman locks. I don't think mine can be repaired but he might have the actual strike plate you are looking for.
