Boler window bottom trim
Does anyone have a good source for the trim that fits the bottom groove ina Boler 13 window? Its a black plastic, and in my case its brittle and dried out. I haven't had much luck sourcing a replacement. The trim fits in the space along the bottom of the window in the photo.

This is actually a useful link as it appears they have almost all the main parts that are required for our windows. I should check if they will ship into Canada....
I have tried the traditional sources, but I was hoping someone had replaced theirs and had a good alternative source.

Derek, you can slice of a small piece of your molding and send it to Interstate. They are very helpful. If they have something that matches they'll let you know. Be sure to include your email address with the piece, they'll correspond that way. Cheaper than a phone call.
If they don't ship to Canada, send me a PM.
Best of luck!

Derek,
Were you ever able to get a hold of that trim/molding? Was it the piece that covers all the screws once the window has been installed that you were looking for? That is what I am trying to track down and after looking at 009-042 on http://www.interstatemetals.com/cat_windows2.htm it looks like it might work. I was wondering if you ever did try it and if it was successful.
Let me know, thanks!

Theresa:
This is an old post so you may not get an answer.
But, you can make a good substitute quite easily.
Take a black plastic 4 liter oil jug, cut the bottom and top off of it.
Now cut the jug at a slight angle (in the width you need plus a 1/8" or 3/16"), think peeling an apple and keeping the peel in one piece. You should end up with a long strip of black plastic that you can cut to length and squeeze into place. The slightly wider plastic will curve outward and stay in place.

It is screw cover molding. I have lots of colonial white in stock. I trimmed out the windows on our 1975 ECO that is for sale now.

Ian,
I am pretty sure this is not the stuff I am looking for. Below are some photos I took of the molding I need. It is the black stuff that goes over the screws holes on all 4 sides.

Chuck,
Is this the stuff you are referring to - Elixir Screw Cover by AP Products
?
I was hoping to get black but this may do if I can't find it anywhere else. Do you think it would work after looking at the photos I attached?

your right Theresa
the seal I showed seals the lower window to the frame.
The black molding is available at any RV service department, they buy it in 100'-1000' rolls. Just bring a sample of yours with you because it comes in several widths and most RV service/parts dept stock it in black and white, they will sell it by the foot but it is very inexpensive.

Ian,
Do you know any specific dealers that sell this molding?
The city I live in Alberta has no RV dealers that carry this molding. I have been unable to find anyone online who carries it that I can order it from.
