Just where is Saint Michael? It would help us make reccommendations if we knew what climate you would be dealing with.

We do not have air conditioning. It got warm inside in the Yuma, AZ sun this winter, but opening the windows on all four sides immediately allowed cooling breezes inside. Did not need the fan.

And of course living in the PNW, we hardly ever need air conditioning.

Hey!!! Thanks for your input. Yes, I am in Saint Michael MN, 78" of snow and counting. We are cooler here in general. But we do have some very warm/humid days during the summer.(bug infested) We also like to escape to the warmer states on occasion. John and Debra

Unhappy Midwest Weather

I am very familiar with midwest weather. I used to live in Wisconsin. I enjoyed spring until the first mosquito, then I said, "Let's go back to winter." LOL

I remember not being able to sleep because, along with the oppresive, read humid, heat at night, came the inevitable, high pitched bzzzz'ing of mosquitos.

Yes, You are correct, that very irritating noise has compromised my deep R.E.M. sleep many times while tent camping. Also it is enuff to start an involuntary eye twitch as well. We are going with the air.

Thanks, John
