Cabinet doors

I have a older Trillium with dark brown plastic/fake wood cabinet doors. They are sticky and icky. What is the best product or technique to clean them? I tried Goo Gone, and it really didn’t work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, marjie

If sticky, it may be cooking grease. Try a detergent like Pine-Sol first to get the sticky off first.

Goo-Gone is a solvent. Works on paints, but not so good on greases or oils.

Amazingly it does work best to use oil to dissolve old grease. Pine sol, Murphys soap, Krud Kutter. All of those have an oil base. Then follow up with a plain detergent and then rinse. Krud Kutter is more of an industrial strength rather than being gentle such as Murphys so try the Murphy's first.
