Compact Jr. upolstery

Seems my wife and I have just joined the "Molded Fiberglass RV
Trailer" cult. We just purchased a '73 Compact Jr. My question is
regarding the wall coverings. Ours is complete:E ly covered in white
diamond tuck(walls and ceiling). It was installed before the cabinets
were put in because it is behind them. Looks like something out of a
street rod. Way cool, but was wondering if original. It also has an
aluminum plate in front that holds the battery, spare tire and
propane tank. Any info regarding the Compact Jr. would be helpful.
Thanks

Welcome to the cult Orville.

One word of warning ... owning a cute little fiberglass travel trailer ... and this website ... will soon become an addiction for you!:) :)

There are several Compact Jr. owners who hang out here. I'm sure they will answer your question.

But until then, can you post some pictures (external and inside) of the new addition to your family?

The diamond tuck wall covering sounds like aftermarket to me. But I'd like to see some details.

A number of folks have done "off frame" restorations of their rigs, which would account for the wall covering going under the cabinets on your trailer.

Compact Jr. pictures

Seems owning a 30 yr. old trailer, a 64 yr. old Buick and a
66 yr. old Harley has put my wife and I in and time warp. We just
can't seems to buy a digital camera. Hence no pictures (for now) of
our little home away from home. Orville

I just found out the other day, that if a store is set up for it (Eckerd's Drugs) they can even put pictures taken with a disposable camera onto a CD. No scanner, no digital needed. I haven't tried it, but getting ready to.

I left home without my digitial and bought a disposable. We'll see what happens.

Let's see ...

30 + 64 + 66 = 160 years worth of fun, right Orville?

Why'd you buy such a "new" trailer ... only half the age of your other toys?;)
