Looking for a source for some D rated 205/75 14 tires. I don't want Goodyears and the only orthers I have found are KHUMO 857's which are on back order and unavailable anytime soon from TIRE-RACK.

I searched for new tires last year and found the Duro brand, available through America's Tire. However, they are C range, so they may not fit the bill. Max. load 1760 lbs per tire.

The original tires on the Burro were 13 inch Duros, and we never had a problem with them, but the 14 inch wheels and tires brought us a comfortable load margin, so I'm happy. I get the impression they are a cut above the usual suspects, quality-wise.

The Continental Vanco 8 is a suitable commercial truck and trailer (not ST) tire which is made in Load Range D, in similar sizes such as 205/80R14. That particular size is almost an inch taller than a 205/75-14 and possibly closer to the original size on trailers such as my B1700, which came with an F78-14 tire in 1979.

I don't know how readily available the Vanco 8 is.

All ST tires in the same size and load range will have the same load capacity, so I assume that Bob's intention is to find a tire with a higher load capacity than that of an ST205/75-14 LR-C.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

I got my 195/14 Kuhmos today. They are 1/2 inch narrower than the Kuhmo 205.
However they are the same width as the goodyear 205. They carry a load rating of
just over 2000 lbs. They are a 1/4 inch taller than the 205 Marathon.
Tire Rack has them in stock and Discount Tire got them for me in 3 days. Discount
matched Tire Racks price of $73

I don't know how readily available the Vanco 8 is. . . . . .

Tire Rack shows the Vanco™ 8 195/R14 (2094 weight limit) in stock @ $86.
