I'm getting ahead of myself - I'm picking up a compact jr next weekend. I've enjoyed looking at the pictures of the units here on this forum. I can't wait - so one question.. Does anyone know (off hand) what the sizes of the cushions for the dinette are? Mine looks like it's a 4 person that makes into one big bed.

thanks - john

The two bottom cushions are 72" X 24.5". The two back rest cushions are 72" X 12". Mine have been redone so they may vary a little from original. And yes, they all go together to make a large bed (72" X 70")

And to add to the various combinations that can be made up for beds, I cut my 12" cushions into 3 24" pieces each, so that when we make up just a double (72 x 48) bed accross the front, we have cushions to sit on by the galley. Larry

If you are going to replace cushions you may want to consider changing the sizes. The cushions fit best with the cushions running from side to side when made into the bed. the cushions are snug and the "cracks' between the cushions are at 90 degrees to the axis we sleep. When the dinette is set up the back cushions and the seat cushions run fore and aft. This means that when making the bed, the cushions must be turned 90 degrees. it can be a bit of a nuisance if fighting with pillows and bed linens. Cushions could be cut to make the bed with the back cushions filling in the middle between the seat cushions but this would also mean the "cracks" would run the length of the sleeping body. To each their own. something to consider. Hope this made sense. We have also considered what Larry and Carie have down so that one can have a small dinette and the double bed but we really like the fore and aft sleeping arrangement. No one crawls over another on the mid-night run to empty a bladder.
