Door molding color question on Scamp

My doorway currently has white around. My door has black around.
Is this standard?
I ask because I bought black and don't know if I should get white for that area.

I don't think it really matters. You're missing the weatherstrip which is most likely going to be black so matching will not matter any way.

Good eye. I am installing the new weatherstripping purchased from Scamp today. My old stuff was deteriorating foam.

This is the new rib molding from Scamp, comes with attached gorilla glue peel n stick tape...

Anyone tried this? We "need" a new door seal but hesitate to try an automotive type. We want the door to still shut as well as it does. And meanwhile, Paul re-taped some of ours to make it stick and it is sticking...and it seems to keep water entirely out...

ideas?

My 1988 Scamp has white around the doorway on the body and black around the door. I don't think I ever paid attention so I had to go look! I've owned the trailer since 2002... you'd think I would have noticed it before

The new ones have a black seal and a black door edge moulding.

I just installed the one from Scamp. It was an easy install once I knew which way the flat end went (away from the opening).
My door does shut a bit more snug, but not enough to where I can't close or open with just a little more pressure. My door handle isn't stock, so maybe that is why it is working out okay. Some have issues with having to pull their door tight, and/or adding a shim at the handle area.

Yep, just like mine. I always like knowing what is original about my 1992 Scamp as the previous owner did do a few alterations.
