The door window in my 1977 Scamp (13') was damaged when I bought the Scamp. I am thinking of replacing it w/a pc. of Lexan 1" longer & wider than the window opening. I will then put caulking on the door & screw the Lexan in place using 1"x1/8" alum flat stock & ss screws on the exterior of the door.

Anyone have a better idea?....thanks Don

I saw a B1700 listed for sale with a slightly curved conversion van window installed in the door - it looked good.

My Boler has a flat Hehr window, but I assume that the Scamp 13' door surface is too curved for that.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

You can buy replacement windows from Scamp, perhaps even one that can open a little and provide some ventilation (the one on my 91S13 does). There's a downloadable parts/prices list on the Scamp web site.

It would help to know the dimensions. The current Scamp door window is 15 x 15-1/2.

The Entrance Door Window Frames that you can buy at the RV dealers are approx. 16" x 25", and come in different colors. About $7.00 each for the inside and outside. If that would fit, it would make a much nicer frame for your plexiglass.

I just went ahead & ordered a new Scamp window. It's going to require a lot of fiberglass work to install. I did this because my door was all rotted out inside So when I am replacing the interior I'll install the window.
