It's VIN, for Vehicle Identification Number.

On Scamps, it's stamped into the top of the curbside A-frame, a few inches back from where the coupler is welded on.

Probably covered with a layer or two of paint. Look for it at night, with flashlight shining across surface. Correct place to read is from driver's side of A-frame.

Pete on my 1988, it's on the passenger side! Go figure. But yes, it's about a foot back from the coupler under layers of paint.

On my 2000, it is on the passenger / curb side.

I wasn't clear.

The number is on the passenger side, but the correct way to read it is standing on the driver's side. Otherwise you are looking at it upside down and it may not be as legible.

Edgar,
It's on the top, the picture shown in one link shows the sticker that on the inside of the frame. If you would come on over and I'll show you where mine is located. Send PM to get travel instructions.
