I made up this box three years ago...

Earlier this spring I added an electronic flasher into the box for the running lights and I had found one of those aviation type toggle switch covers for the brake switch to avoid accidentally flipping that switch.

It has an aux 12v receptacle and I think a 15 amp circuit breaker.

It was a fun project, but since I used a lot of marine hardware the price added up some. But it was what I find a fun project what with researching the parts, planning the wiring, etc.

Some of us would rather spend $3 to $5 and build it ourselves.

I meant no offense by my comment, Byron. I have always made it a habit to compare making something verses buying it based on the cost and time. If I can buy it for less money than I can make during the time it would take me to design it...........gather all the materials.............and make it, then buy it I will. On the other hand, if someone quotes me a price that is outrageous, then it's time to consider making or building. As an example, when I wanted my teardrop trailer, I went to a guy who custom builds them and asked for a quote. He wanted $12,500 to build the trailer the way I wanted. I just laughed..............and built my trailer. That's just the way I am.

Sorry, I didn't really mean any offense either. My intent was to point out it's a pretty simple thing to build, and as Steve L pointed out can be a fun little project. For some people it can be pretty daunting to attempt to build something like this, for those your link and the box can be pretty valuable.

My Geek-O-Meter is twitching into the red just looking at those boxes.
