Fantastic Fan thin roof spacers

I spent today installing a Fantastic Fan on my Scamp.
I had to fabricate a spacer for the fan so it didn't turn into a head knocker inside the trailer.
After the install was complete I read the installation instructions and found that they have thin roof spacers.
If your planning on installing a Fantastic Fan on your egg call Fantastic Fan and order a spacer. It's much easier than making one.
The spacer I made was 1 1/8 inch thick which makes the fan flush on the interior of the trailer.

I believe that Fantastic Fan actually makes a thin model. When ours had to be replaced on the Casita because of the tree incident, the shop had to order one from the factory because their in-stock one was too thick. They may have just had to order the spacer you describe but that is not what they said. (Casita did not have any in stock).

The Fantastic Fan lady told me they were 5/8 inch thick so she is sending me 2 spacers.
They are the most customer service oriented people I have ever dealt with.
I moved a Fantastic fan from one trailer to another and needed an interior garnish.
They trimmed the garnish to my measurements and then like the spacers, they were sent free of charge.
They're a rare company.

Ok I have the fantstic fan and spacer, does the spacer go on the roof?

I am over 6' so I put my spacer on the roof so the fan is flush with the interior ceiling.
I used my own spacer as I wanted yo raise the fan 1'.

The Fantastic Fan folks (they were really helpful!) sent me a 'high hat' spacer that allowed me to mount the fan flush with the UHaul CT13 ceiling. Worked great!

Too bad they are a rare breed.I found their customer sevice goes above and beyond.Some others should take a page from there book.A pleasure dealing with them.

Again the forum posters save the day. Trying to do research for the fantastic fan installation and called today. They are sending me 2 spacers! Yes, they need to be installed in the interior, but I'm hoping that it will do the trick. We are not set up to do anything fancy on the exterior, and we lack the clearance space where we store the Scamp. Wish us luck!
