Fantastic Fan Thumb Tab Screen Removal?

First year camping with Scamp and I thought I'd ask before I break something. Want to clean the screen and fan blades, and notice what looks like a little "thumb tab" on metal round frame of screen inside trailer. Does this just pop off when you apply downward pressure, or should I twist it somewhat?

Bugs and various rogue dog hairs in there!

Cheers and happy Camping,
Wendy

Wendy pull down on the tab until it starts to come off. The tabs are plastic so I take it down slowly in case one breaks. Once you have the section with the tab down a bit run your fingers between the screen and the fan housing to help release the other tabs holding it.

Thanks as always for the sage advice Carol. Inside trailer this afternoon as on and off rain and I'm lazy today and don't feel like putting my awning up. Nice though to relax alone and be still.

That's interesting. Mine must be an old model. I have about 8 screws to remove to pull the screen to clean it.

Yes. I think the newer models have the thumb tab thingy. I have screws in the base face if the fan too. But around the edge of the screen, do you see a little concave depression that would act as a thumb pull/ tab? What year is your trailer?
