Finally Finished Remodeling 1977 Scamp

My wife and I just finished with the complete remodel of our 1977 Scamp.
We completely gutted the interior and started over and painted the exterior of the trailer. I have included some pictures of the interior as well as an exterior photo of the unit getting ready to travel from Iowa to Colorado for a shake down cruise.

Your pictures didn't load. Did you poke the UPLOAD button to the right of your list?

Looks great! Is it just the way the picture is shot or is your axle a little saggy?

Do you have a shot looking in the door? I would like to see how you did your kitchen area. How about one of the air conditioner side? I'm working up the nerve to cut a hole in the side and install one on my '81.

Wow!! Great restoration. What did you use to shine the exterior?

We sanded all of the exterior, primed it and hand rolled with Rust Oleum Top Coat. My wife polished the aluminum using soft Bar Keepers Friend.

Yes, this is the original axle so its 40 years old. I plan to replace with new axle this winter.

I just had a Lippert with electric brakes installed. I snapped a pic of the barcoding just in case someone needs to source one. My order number is there too. If you take your camper to the factory, they will install a Lippert axle.

You did an awesome job on that exterior. I hope I can get that much shine out of mine.

Looks fantastic ! A lot of work for sure ! I am looking at towing a 13' boler with a Jeep Wrangler. I would be very interested to know how you found the jeep for towing your trailer ?

Looks great! Definitely replace that axle- one that old is pretty hard on the shell and everything in it. I'd be interested in what you did with the space behind the front bulkhead.

We used a small cigar sized 1/4" nap roller and when we applied the paint we rolled it out both vertical and horizontal

Our jeep has the inline 6 cyl and the trailer doesn't have any brakes at this time, but when we replace the axle we will have brakes. We just got back from our trip to Colorado and the trailer pulled just fine. we didn't have any problem stopping or pulling up the grades in the mountains.
