floor rot 1978 Burro

I just purchased this 1978 Burro. Does anyone know what type of plywood this make and vintage trailer was built with? Is it nothing more then fiberglass covered CDX? I do not think that pressure treated "wolmanized" plywood was used much back then in trailer floor construction, was it?
My burro has a small amount of rot, mostly near the wheel wells and the door. My thought is that the frame underneath the plywood at the door seems to give very minimal support to the plywood. The constant foot traffic at this spot may have flexed the fiberglass around the plywood enough that it finally broke down and fell off, then water got in and the rot started. My idea is to remove this rotten area at the door, it should be very easy. I will then seal off ( for water penetration) the cut ends of the original floor and scab in a piece of treated plywood where the old was removed. At the same time I will stiffen up the frame in this area a bit with new steel. I also plan on letting the trailer sit all summer (not pull it anyplace especially during wet weather) so that all the original plywood has a long time to dry out. I will then apply silicon caulk everwhere that the fiberglass comes in contact with plywood, and where the metal frame meets plywood. This should help preserve both the frame and plywood.
Any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks Fred

Silicone caulk is da' debbil (at least on fiberglass campers).
