Hi
Can someone please explain to me how I lift the gravel guard covering my large window at the front of my Trillium Trailer 1975. I know it can act as an awning but I have no luck figuring out how to open it. I love my little green egg and want to restore her fully.
Thanks!
Iris

Hi Iris

If it's the original, there should be a tiny (1cm or so) wing nut on each side of the frame near the bottom. When loosened (quite a bit, but not removed) and pushed, it should release the catch that grips the window frame. (do both sides) At this point, the whole guard should lift, pivoting at the top, into it's "awning" position. It is held in the upright position by tightening the two small wing nuts on the struts that support the shield.

I can run outside in a moment and take a couple of pictures of what I'm referring to. I'll post them ASAP.

Hi Iris,
The fasteners for the rock shield on my '72 and '76 Trilliums were like
the photos attached. Last photo shows tightening the wing nut on the
strut that holds the rock shield in raised position to be used as an awning.
