My trailer (admittedly stick, but fiberglass) has been sitting in the driveway and gets splattered every day with the lawn sprinklers. Now I have harder than hard water spots on one side. Any great ideas for removing them. I've tried the household products and Gelcoat but they remain.

Thanks,
Pat

I had the same problem. I solved it by buying a gallon of vinegar and soaking a towel with it and letting it soak for several hours on the water spots. I used one of those green scratchless scrubber pads that are made for teflon pots and scrubbed the spots off.
A few of the spot seemed to be etched into the finish but after a good wax job they did not show.

Pat,

Have you tried an oxidation remover? We used the 3M version and it took off all kinds of stuff.

humm, the only hardwater spots I can think of are the ones caused in my dishwasher. I'm wondering if dishwasher detergent (the kind that removes hardwater spots!) would have any effect? Might be worth a try (with hot water) in an inconspicous spot.

another victim of "Corona Crunchy Water".

When I lived in your area, I just gave up trying to keep it tidy.

I've used CLR on plastic storm windows on the house for years. Works great. No problems with damage to the plastic. Tom Trostel

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. Now I wish I could pick it up lay it on it's side so I could soak the spots.
