Help with my Bargman lock, anyone?

I've read a million threads about Bargman L-400 locks, and looked to buy a new old stock one (Hahahahahaha!!!!!) . I wondered if anyone replacing one would think of selling me their junked one. The problem I have isn't even addressed by the repair kits, anyway. In the actual body of the lock, the edge of the metal has torn, I think from a sagging door being forced open. anyway, I thought I'd post a pic and see if anyone has a solution, or parts of one where something else broke that I could cannibalize, for less than the cost of new Rolls Royce.
Thanks in advance!

Authentic restorations are very nice. But I wonder about alternatives such as this.

I'm sure members have a wealth of experience.

Here's an example for an L300, Amazon seems to have several others:

Replacement locks ?

Upon seeing this, I phoned Rocky at RVshop, he said the Global Trend Travel Trailer Entrance lock might also fit, at $27.95, and possibly others in stock. He said to send photos of the lock and dimensions. I will do that when I am back in Fresno where my trailer is. There are other locks in the $40 range, he says they are quite serviceable. Can anyone measure their door 'cutout' size, and the thickness of the door.? ? Or discuss why this particular look is a direct Bargeman swap. Do all Scamps have Bargeman 300 locks ? I imagine any Scamp or fiberglass trailer over 20 or 30 years old might need a new lock. David in Fresno and Sonora

I don't know whether Bargman 300s and 400s are interchangeable, nor am I an expert on the alternatives. But I would check into them.

Bargman 300s are not interchangeable with Bargman 400s.

Neither are commonly available.

Since the beginning of time, Scamp has used a level handle lockset. Really nothing more than a garage door handle. Just recently they changed the door mold to accept a paddle handle lockset. I think they're using a Bauer. But it looks like any of the square paddle handle locksets from a distance.
