Is there someone in the area that can help my friend Alice Boysen with her 'new' Casita? She just purchased it and is going to take her time towing it back to her home in Harpers Ferry, WV. She is now in/near Clearwater, FL and plans to spend some time in Tarpon Springs.
She basically needs someone familiar with Casitas to show her how some things work (battery power/refrig propane-elec/water,etc).
She doesn't have a computer or cell phone with her, but if anyone is in that area and willing to have her stop by for a quick 'lesson' please let me know and I will pass it along to her.
By the way, she is a member of this site too.
Thank you!
....her friend (I couldn't come down there with her this trip ),
Denise

The basics of operating RV propane/electrics/water are pretty much the same no matter what the brand, and 10 or 15 minutes should be enough to learn what your friend needs. There are three RV dealers in Tarpon Springs, plus a few campgrounds, where I'm sure she could get friendly help, and probably free of charge.

B R Wholesale - 0.4 miles N - 110 Athens St, Tarpon Springs, 34689 - (727) 942-0466
Harberson Swanston RV - 3.2 miles N - 2112 Us Highway 19, Holiday, 34691 - (727) 937-6176
Bay RV Supercenter - 2.3 miles NE - 1112 Us Highway 19, Holiday, 34691 - (727) 939-0800

First, tell your friend to check out www.casitaforum.com. It is not the same as the Casita Club. However, at that site, once registered, one can download a great and practical manuel that will answer lots of questions. We could not have done without it at first.

Good Luck
Diane

Thank you both, I'll pass that info on to her when she calls me back.
She owned an older 13' Casita before, but several of these things didn't work right on it, so I think she's just a little intimidated. What's more, she doesn't have any help on this trip so I think she is looking for some one-on-one guidance. The places suggested will provide that I'm sure.
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks again,
this is a wonderfully kind group of folks!

The Casita directory lists quite a number of owners in Fl. I think you can access this on the Casitaclub.com site. I'm sure quite a number of folks would be more than willing to help.

I second Jack's motion to just go to an RV dealer or park and ask, because the appliances, tow vehicle wiring, LP etc., are going to be essentially the same regardless of who made the trailer they are installed in.

I believe if she pulled her Casita into one of the RV parks and started asking questions of the residents, she would likely be swarmed with bored retirees eager to lend a hand
