How Do I Remove Scamp carpet?

I need to remove (and replace with linoleum) the carpet in my new-to-me 1995 Scamp. My dogs and I camp at agility trials and carpet is just not good -- wet muddy feet, spilled water dishes, and the occasional intestinal accident. It never seems to ever get dry even with extra heaters going.

It appears to be really glued down well. I can't even get a corner up. I am not handy but am willing to try whatever needs to be done before the sub-floor rots (which it may already have -- how can you tell without ripping up the carpet).

I use a Multimaster tool with a flat blade, it works great for both new (sticky) and old (hard) glue. Harbor Freight sells a knock off for about $40.00

See attached photo of a Multimaster set. I assume that the object 2nd from the left is the 'flat blade that you're talking about?

MY 77 carpet was stuck stuck stuck...
..I had to use a utility knife and a metal scraper that they use for drywall. (about 3 inches across. The top part of the carpet seperated from the foam. The foam was glued to the floor and I had to scrape away. I did also get a wire bristle brush (like a bar-b-que scraper only non flexable bristles. Cover your face and scrape away.

If I recall correctly, the Multimaster flat blade is called the Scraper blade. They do seem to work miracles, and if you can justify buying one, they'll do things you never even thought you could do (well beyond the scraper blade).

I first used one about ten years ago to re-core the soggy decks of a boat, and I was hooked. Precise control, very little dust, and it won't cut your skin if you accidentally contact it with the blade.

The second blade from the left is the blade I use for removing carpet. I should have called it the flat edge blade since the rest of the blades have cutter teeth. As in Brandy's second picture it will remove the foam just like using a putty knife with a lot less effort.
