How much cord to bring?
My scamp trailer came with a 25 foot electric cord with connector and 25 and 50 foot extension cords. How much cord will I need to carry to ensure I can reach the electric post? Also, has anyone ever heard of trouble joining cords with rain? Obviously I know to keep connection from an obvious puddle but what about the rain?

Our Casita has a 25' cord and I carry an extra 25' one. I've never had to use the second one but I did lend it to a fellow camper once.
Would I carry a third 50' one, no. Our long trip, for us anyway, there's no power so I don't carry the extra one, keeping weight down.

We have a 25 ft 10/3 extension cord and a 25 ft 12/3 extension cord . We seldom need either one but one time in a Michigan SP in the UP we had to use both extension cords plus move the trailer and it was still close .

I have an additional 50 ft 30 amp and have needed it three times in two years. Same with extra 50 ft hose.

Take 100-200 feet of standard extension cord (preferable heavy duty) with adapters you need to use 15 or 30 amp outlets. You wont be able to use the A/C but you can run just about everything else, esp if you don't run them all at once.
If you must run an A/C then also take a 25 foot 30 amp extension.. more than one however is not very practical.
I carry a 100 foot 15 amp cord but last month after the electric pedestal (outlets) at my site caught fire, instead of moving the camper I tried to reach the next closest site (which was vacant). It did not reach, so I think I will add a 50 foot cord to my list (for total of 150 feet). Even 150 might not be enough but it seems like a good balance between possible need and weight / storage space.
Monitor voltage and protect anything that might be damaged if there is too much voltage drop.

Same thing happened to us! Bet it was McClain St Pk on the Leelenau Penn.
Sometimes parks hide their boxes way in the woods.
The ranger gave us an extra cord to use. (It was our maiden voyage with the new (use) Casita so we weren't prepared for extra cord.

I carry a 25ft 12/3 and if I'm visiting at someone's house I'll take a100ft 12/3, if that is not enough then I don't need electricity that bad.

I carried the stock 25' detachable cord provided by Escape, as well as a 25' 12/3 standard extension cord & adapter.
So far I've camped 1090 nights in the trailer & have only needed both cords twice. I do admit to doing quite a bit of dry camping, but in places that have power pedestals, I have almost always been able to get the trailer within the standard cord length distance to power.
By the way, the places where it was a stretch was a Provincial parks in Canada & a couple of Kentucky state parks.

In four years of camping where we have hookups, (FL, GA, AL, & S.C. State Parks, KOAs & one other "for profit" campground) I have only needed the attached Scamp cord. I carry another 25 foot of 30 amp RV cord but have never used it.

Where are you guys camping that you need extension cords that long?
Any electrical site I have ever had the electrical post was within 10 feet from my trailer.

Excluding the approximately 20 feet of cord that comes hard wired to the Casita, I can only remember adding 50 feet one time (two 25-ers), at some state park in New York. I refused to use the A/C due to voltage loss over what I considered an extreme cord length. This was a for-sure WTF campsite.
I’ve needed 1 extension cord perhaps 30-40% of the time. I tend to pull more out of the cubby than strictly needed so that it lays flat on the ground from the trailer to the post. Less of a trip hazard which is important to me as I’m a little unsteady on my feet. There is a school of thought that having the cord off the ground the whole distance between trailer and post keeps ants, etc. off the cord and out of the trailer but I don’t subscribe to this theory.
I use the extra 25 feet often enough that I keep the first 25 foot extension permanently installed at the end of the stock cord. I keep the second 25 foot extension in the tow, along with the extra water hose I also rarely use. As mentioned by somebody else, I have loaned one or the other (cord or hose) on occasion.

We have never really needed more than the stock cord on any of our trailers, but we do also carry a "heavy duty" extension cord. (I don't remember the wire gauge, but it's not enough for extending the trailer's umbilical.) We use the extension cord for plugging in other things, usually directly to the post, such as electric skillet or electric roasting pan, or maybe a fan by the picnic table.
Is it likely that your trailer's previous owners did the same?
