So a big bummer, I lost one last weekend somewhere between Seattle and Birch Bay. My question is how do I know what size I need? What am I looking for? Tire size, bolt pattern (what does that mean?) what?

Thanks!
Sharon

If it is a Moon style center cap, measure the diameter of your remaining cap. When I shopped for the caps on my Fiber Stream, I knew I was looking for 7-5/8" diameter center caps.

If it is a full wheel cover, use the tire size: probably a 13" wheel cover...

Hi Sharon,

Those hubcaps looked great too! My Trillium has the standard Ford 13' 5 bolt rim that most Trilliums came with. Any hubcap that I have tried for 13' wheels have fit so just find a nice set at your local autoparts store. The ones I put on the 1972 I sold had a steel ring that fit in one of two different grooves on the hubcap - the inner setting made the hubcap fit tighter.

Cheers,
Booker

Take the one you have and go to the local wrecking yards and tell you want one to match.

Or measure the one you have and see if it matches one of the Half Moons shown in this 3 page section of the Redneck Trailer Catalouge online:
