Is it safe to use Zep 123 STRIPPER to remove Zep floor wax on Scamp exterior?

For give me if this thread is elsewhere, but is it safe to use Zep 123 STRIPPER to remove Zep floor wax on Scamp exterior? It looks like pretty rough stuff for the friberglass, but I've tried to remove old, darkened Zep 123 floor polish with a mixture of ammonia and a degreasing detergent with no effect whatsoever.

OK. I think I found the right thread, and . . .

many seem to have used the Zepp123 stripper with no ill effects. Getting ready for Scamp's first paint job. Pray for me.

I used Zep Heavy Duty Floor stripper. There is No 123 listing on the bottle. I bought it a year ago so maybe it's different. I tried many other products with poor results, but this stuff worked well.

I put the stripper into a spray bottle full strength and sprayed it onto the trailer after I "misted" the trailer with the garden hose. The longer the stripper sits on the trailer, the better it works and best results were achieved when the surface was cool and damp. Early morning on a foggy day was most productive. A very coarse plastic scrubbing pad (scotchbrite ?)helped too.

I have heard and often read negative comments when it comes time to remove before applying again.
Initially it is a product for the interior and is not protected from UV.
Good luck.

Yes, Gilles, thanks. I'm stripping before painting. You're right: The Zep polish doesn't so much yellow as gray over time.

I used it a couple of time.
The secret it don't let it dry!
If so the floor finish will harden back up
Hense doing it on a damp morning.
