Brain damage is a "feature" of the UHaul (Of course you have to know that this is what Microsoft said about bugs in their software.)

CindyL

PS: I teach special education methods. I always get a laugh when I tell them that I worked with a physician treating traumatic brain injury who said that every time you bump your head, you are a different person than before you bumped your head. So how many different people have now worked on your CT?

ha!!! the head whacking bit made me laugh out loud! i took a buddy out camping last weekend and he nearly knocked himself completely out on that doorway! i mean, people at the next site were groaning in pain for him it was so loud. good news is, we were full of Jameson's so he had properly anesthetized the area prior to the trauma.

i hit my head a few times now too, but after that - i come out of the CT like i am trying to win the Limbo in the Olympics!

New pics!

Well it's been a while, but things have settled down and I have good news now. We have a custom made 12 footer (not glass ), but only weighs in at 800 lbs. We towed Jezabel with our '96 MPV, but she blew up (age, not weight of camper). Now we have an Accord as tow vehicle and the uhaul puts a bigger load and more comfortable towing the teeny tot. Haven't pursued sale, since we were in limbo, but we have decided to sell and here are some semi-done pics!
I'm no body man, and pics show an area above wheel well where there is a slight tear in the glass. Also could use a paint job and the windows as mentioned b4. I couldn't find pics of exterior, but will take some more ~ hasn't changed on the outside

That's a bunch of work completed on your CT. I'm interested in hearing more about that ultralight trailer. Is it a teardrop of some kind?

Regards,

Matt

Hi Bruce,
I've got $3K in it, we're in East TN about 30 miles from VA and 30 miles from NC near Bristol/Johnson City. My kin has listed on tri-cities craigslist, but haven't sent him photos.

Hi Matt,
Not a tear, it's a standy. What I like is it's a solid trailer (not harbor frt) rated at 3500 lbs and 14" wheels, and a FULL SIZE door. I got completed shell for $2700 and added a vent fan, two 20# tanks and propane stove, Engel fridge/freeze and 12 volt system (it was set up for shore power, but had a converter installed). No water as we use carboys and I converted a 1000 watt honda generator to propane (that's why I added TWO tanks) which lets me recharge the battery (1 group 28 ~ 100 amphour). We went 4 nights with no problems running the vent fan all night and the fridge/freeze rotating polar ice blocks into cooler - recharging the battery in the mornings keeping a full charge - still a full charge on the last day. I love propane - no gas stink with the generator and easy to transport.
The thing looks like a cube and was home built by a preacher in Sneedville, TN. He took it to a show in Myrtle beach and received an order for 20 of them to be delivered in July! They are now retailing for $4900 (shell with shore power fridge, ac, and microwave). It is great for sleeping/cooking, but you cant really spend any time in there - too small. sleeps 2 adults in full size bed and our 5 year old on a thermarest in the floor.

SOLD! Thanks to all on this site for help in rebuilding this CT. If I were a bit shorter, I'd still be in glass.
