Lady and the Scamp

Enduring more than ten years of abuse in the Texas sun, our 2003 Scamp 13 was due for a makeover. We followed the details suggested in these forums and are pleased with the results. Removing the oxidation, bug spatter, bird mess and sap was the hard part. Applying the Zep Wet-Look was a breeze.
The Lovely Lady has always wanted something small and shiny!

Is Zep Wet-Look a polish that you used?
I'm looking to apply some elbow grease to our trailer next month prior to storing it in an underground limestone mine for the winter.
I would like to use a little more cleaner/polish than elbow grease.

Oh my Bill, you really need to check out this lengthy thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ell-43004.html

Bill,
Donna has pointed you in the right direction. This thread involves three years of experience and wisdom from which you can base your decision. I read all of the posts before applying six coats of Zep. The Zepping was much quicker than the reading.

Isn't your Snoozer, in addition to being almost sparkly new, also painted, Bill? I believe you'll be better off with a car wax or polish. I love the floor wax but my trailer is 15 yrs. old. Just read Tom's post about Zep-ing a 2003 Scamp. I think we're going to have to invoke the "elbow grease for a decade" rule before allowing you take the easy [?] way out. Anyway, read the thread that Donna links and make very, very certain you want this stuff on top of your paint.

Agreed! I'm pretty sure that the cult of floor polish should be used on old, abused fiberglass...and floors.

Tom,
The biggest benefit comes next time you wash the trailer when all the dirt and grime wash off so easily and the clean and shine come right back. No dirt streaks and crap that you have to scrubb off just to make it look OK.
