I forgot and didnt turned off a battey (I have two on a 1,2, off switch.) It ws on for about a week. Will this boil the battery and shorten its life?

They both are deep cycle batteries

Ron,

If you have a Progressive Dynamics converter, you probably have nothing to worry about. If you have the standard Casita converter (Magnetek), you may have reason to be concerned.

If your battery is the type where you can pull off the covers, you just need to check your water level. If it hasn't boiled dry it is probably still OK. I left my 2004 Casita plugged in for several weeks once and it did boil dry. I re-filled it and used it the rest of that season, but I ended up having to buy a new battery the following spring. Don't know if your Casita has the same inverter/charger as mine did.

I don't think you have need to worry unless your converter is set too high and your battery is in bad shape. It's usually when the old converters are connected for months that it makes a difference.

Check the water.
