Hi Randy, how do you plan to remove the paint? I'll be doing the same thing at some point and am leaning towards using a fiberglass-safe chemical stripper, but because of the cost I'm tempted to try using a heat gun, very carefully of course.

I'm sure a lot of us would appreciate hearing how this goes.

I've mentioned this stuff before (I have no personal experience with it) Back to Nature Aqua Strip. A number of years ago, I stripped the woodwork in an entire Victorian home. Between using a heat gun and stripper.... the paint stripper was much easier/faster. The decision to use one over the other for me... would be how much time/effort or money do I want to spend. And time... IS money.

I don't know yet, I'm looking to different ways but need to finish the one I'm working on first..My buddy with the body shop said I should use the same product he uses to strip rubber bumpers, don't know how much it cost or anything yet..I figure I'll try different strippers under the bottom until I find one that does the trick..I'll post it when I start...Thanks Randy

I am curious to know after all the different types of trailers you have owned that you never had a boler, any particular reason..
We originally tried to find a trillium but turned out we got a boler after looking seriously for 6 months. I understand the frustration with the upholstery, it took me a full week of painstaking work especially with the piping trim.

Yea, I've never had a Boler, I really think they look good and all but the opportunity has never been there..

Speaking of upholstery...
My T4500 still has the upholstery (see below) it left the shop with and it's in pretty good shape except that the dinette seat tops are starting to come apart. And after only 34 years! I actually kind of like the old browny-tweedy fabric, especially since it goes so well with the Wal-Mart chicken curtains I got to go with it.
SO, Randy, I'm wondering if you saved any of the old covers after you replaced them? I'm thinking that I might be able to salvage enough fabric from them to replace just the top panels in my seat cushions.
I'd pay whatever you think they're worth, and of course shipping costs.

You can have them if you want them but they are coming apart also and not just at the zippers either, they are coming apart because the material is rotten but they do match yours exactly..All I have to do is call the upholstery guy and have him save them.....Let me know..Thanks Randy

I have to repair the belly band on my Trillium 1300. I would like to know if you have used a filler underneath the fiberglass sheet, to fill in the empty space?

I filled the crack with Fiberglass sanded it then painted the crack only and then installed the new band..I ran a strip of duct tape about a 1/2 above and below the crack done all this then removed the duct tape this protected the existing finish.....
