new old molded rv.

Hi, beena while since i was on here last but i have found a fiberglass camper I have never seen before. It was a joint venture from American Roads and Ford motors. it is a slide in truck bed camper. I was wondering if anyone has any info on them. they were made in 1973 and 74 only. they say less than a thousand were built. I have the opertunity yo buy it for what i consider a steal. $350!. any info on this camper or manufacturer would be a great help.

Try here: http://www.americanroadcamper.com/

Their website has quite a bit of info, photos and links to restoration, etc.

Hello Heath in Ohio,

Go for it, what a great looking camper! At that price you could afford quite a bit of fixing up. Very beautiful design!

Congratulations!
A powerwash and wax job and off inside you go :-)

Looking at the pictures, it seems to be in good shape. Best of luck with it!
