Now is a good time !

As most of us are putting away our fiberglass trailers for the winter now may be a good time to get a little intimate with your frame
After reading about the Escape trailers recent recall/fix for frames built between 2009 and 2014 I decided I would spend the afternoon crawling under mine and identifying potential watch areas. If I have learned anything from this site its that things like this can happen to anyone but it will also happen at the least opportune time!
While I was down there I did a little touch up to the paint where a few rocks dinged it. I also checked the brakes and bearings while I was at it!
Surprisingly I had fun.

"Most of us" ? Now that would be an interesting poll of how many on the site are seasonal and how many are, or can be, year around users.

As mentioned, we just got back from a trip and have another planned for late January and then out again in March.

Ready and Waiting

I winterized our Casita at the end of October. We live in a Condo so it's at a storage facility and I visit it weekly. I have 6 weeks booked mostly in the Florida panhandle starting January 17th. This will be my first escape from winter in New England and I can't wait. I will be traveling solo because my wife is still part of the working world but she encouraged me to go....Hmmm. Well, what she really said was " if you're going to be as miserable as you were last winter (it was a real bear) by all means go." I can take a hint so I'm getting out of Dodge. All kidding aside she is a great traveling companion and will be missed.

Can someone explain how to post an image?
The button that says insert image asks for a URL instead of a file.

if you have a posting of the picture open it in your browser and right click and select save URL. Copy it and past it in the block.

It's a jpeg file on my computer.
the picture needs to be posted on the web somewhere, either on the FGRV site or other. As a file on your computer it can't be loaded directly.
to post one hte FGRV site go to your user CP left on the bar above.
Click on it and look for pictures and albums there you will find the places to upload to the site.
Once the pictures are posted then you can click to open the picture, right click to get the URL and paste that in the picture box.
If you clck go advanced then you can find the paperclip and use this to upload a file.
If it works here will be the file:
So you can directly upload a file under advanced file and follow the instructions.

I've been posting from my computer desktop all along.
If I am creating a new thread, I click on Go Advanced, which is at the bottom of the message box. That brings up icons at the top of the message box that includes a paper clip.
Click on the paper clip and a window opens so you can browse the folders in your computer for the picture you want. I put the picture on my desktop first so it is easy to find.
You can browse and select up to four pictures. Then click on Upload. Then WAIT until the message "uploading" goes away and close the browsing window and click on "Submit" or on "Preview" ( if you want to check it before submitting ).

Okay, got it. Thanks. Just a bit more cumbersome than I'm used to. but it works well.
As I said earlier, I love winter camping.
