Painting

Hi. I have a 73 Lovebug. It has the old insulite in it (not a real smooth surface)
Does anyone know what is the best paint to use on it (inside of camper) Can you use regular latex indoor or outdoor? Also, plan on painting the outside. I hear I should only use epoxy on the outside. Do I need to prime it first. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!!
