Almost satisfying to hear of other disasters..... Mine is the PO did a horrible roll-on with some thick goop, likely a latex. Much of the roof is now multicolored and there are deep furrows all over Betsey. I stumbled into the RO sander and starting with a 60 and working up to 200 seems to be doing a nice job. Bondo on a couple of really horrible spots. Found that the Bondo Glazing Putty is easier to work with for my purposes. A plastic spatula and lots of patience will fill most of the furrows. Dries in about 20 minutes and a 200 or more sanding leaves a nice smooth surface. A quick spray paint
over this in spots finds the spots I missed and easily fixed up. When the whole thing is done, I'll do the proper paint
job. Thanks for all the ideas! Might just save a major spray job.
